Tropic stijl (new)

Description

In the 1960’s and 70’s there was a simple strap that was very popular amongst divers, the Tropic. The strap had many holes, which kept the skin under the strap dryer than with a solid rubber strap. On the strap there is a modest motiff so it resembles a perlon strap.

This is a good imitation of the old Tropic, made of high quality silicon, and in a few modern colours.

Short side is 8,4 cm, long side is 12,5 cm. It is 3,3 mm thick in the middle. At the lugs, is is much thicker, so it fills up nicely between the lugs. The end of the long side goes down to 2,1 mm so it is easy to put through the (single, with continued pattern) keeper.

The straps are easy to use up to 2mm thick push pins, 2,5mm thick push pins (Seiko divers can be pressed through, especially when you apply a drop of liquid soap). A set of standard push pin is added.

Here are the differences between the this and the other Tropic that I sell (new one is darker green):

The middle being less thick makes this strap more souple to wear.
