In the 1960’s and 70’s there was a simple strap that was very popular amongst divers, the Tropic. The strap had many holes, which kept the skin under the strap dryer than with a solid rubber strap. On the strap there is a modest motiff so it resembles a perlon strap.

This is a good imitation of the old Tropic, made of high quality silicon, and in a few modern colours.

Short side is 7 cm, long side is 12 cm. It is 3,7 mm thick. The end of the long side tapers to 2mm so it is easy to put through the keeper.

The straps are easy to use up to 2mm thick push pins, 2,5mm thick push pins (Seiko divers can be pressed through, especially when you apply a drop of liquid soap).
