In the Seiko 5 Sports range there is a new watch case shape, a nice classic case with a large crown at 3.

This SRPH29 has a military kind of dial, and looks a lot like the small  SNK805. The SRPH29 is “more watch”, it is larger and the strap is also thicker (padded nylon with contrasting orange leather on the inside). It is 2mm higher, mainly because of the domed hardlex.
The layout of the dial is almost similar to the dial of the SNK805, the hands are nicer and I particularly like the orange index markers on the quarters, that also light up in orange. The lugs are drilled-through, so changing the strap is easy!

The installed glass is single domed hardlex. It has a rather high dome and will give some distortion when you look at the dial from an angle. A good option is to have sapphire installed (add the sapphire to the order, and use the option “install ORDERED sapphire”)!
