Description
Another line of new models in the Seiko Sports series, with a case shaped like the famous SKX007 but a bit smaller and without a rotating bezel. The case heigth is 1 mm less, it is 2 mm less wide and its length (lug to lug) is also 2mm less. Its weight is 27 gram less than the SRPD51k1.
This SRPE51 has a beautiful gray sunburst dial, chrome edges around the indexes (which are smaller than those of the SKX and SRPD-Sports). The hands are also little bit thinner (notice the minute hand). The difference with the SRPE51 (not looking at the obvious different bracelet/nato) the the finish of the bezel. Brushed on the SRPE61 and polished on the SRPE51.
The watch has a see-through case back, so you can look at the movement (4R36, so you can hack and wind this movement with the crown).
The lugs in the watch case are drilled through, so it is easy to remove the push pins and change the bracelet. For this model, the lug width is 20mm! The bracelet is a nice oyster with solid links, and a double-lock 18mm clasp (with only two adjustment holes).
