Description
The brand Oriënt was established in 1950 and has been taken over by Seiko-Epson in 2003. Oriënt is fully owned by Seiko-Epson, but it operates independantly. The automatic movements come from Oriënts’ factories and if you look at the designs, Oriënt is taking inspiration from the past. That makes them so much fun to have!
The FAB00009B9 is part of the tri star-series, models that are almost exact copies from the old ones from the past, with the modern movements off course. The watch case has a very well done finish with a combination of polishing and brushing. The movement is comparable with the Seiko 7S26 (So no hack and wind), it is the Oriënt caliber F6922.
The glass has a diameter of 31.5mm, which is large for a small watch (I am sorry to say I do not have sapphire for it). The case back is solid and has logo, brand-name (and also EPSON) and some information about type and a serial. This solid case back is more flat than a display case back, so this watch is relatively flat. The bracelet has a classic design and a clasp with MANY adjustment holes.
I do not have Oriënt gift boxes, I will put them in this practical watch-pouch.
