If you are looking for an easier way to wear a leather strap, a butterfly-clasp is the clasp to consider. Additional benefit is that your leather strap will last much longer because there is much less strain on it.

Just replace your clasp with the butterfly-clasp, at the desired hole and you’re done. No more pressig the strap through the first keeper, just push to close and press both sides to open the clasp.

Usually, you will need a clasp that is 2mm less wide than the lug width, a standard leather strap tapers 2mm from the width between the lugs to the clasp.
