Seiko has introduced a new Seiko5 Sports line, based on the watch case of the famous SKX007. Some differences: 10atm, see-through case back, 4R36 movement, many colours available. Due to some technical differences, it is NOT POSSIBLE to change this model into a 20atm diver!

The sports-line with the 42mm SKX-cases is getting colourful models almost every week. This SRPL33 is one of the new line with a heavy retro-vibe. It looks much like the The SRPK09,but it has received a few “HUF-options”. The SRPL33 is a limited edition (7000 pieces worldwide) in collaboration with the skatebrand HUF (founded by Keith Hufnagel, who died in 2020).
This design looks back at the design from 1969 and has received signature HUF-green accents. What I really like is the HUF logo in the crown! The window around day/date has been copied from the old style ones, the shape is correctly done. The silver-blue “rally” bezel insert has a lume pip, perfect!

The steel oyster bracelet has solid links with split pens, a double-lock clasp (4 adjustment holes) and feels nice and solid. It has folded end pieces, with shoulderless push pins. The lugs are drilled through, so it is easy to press in the push pins and change the bracelet.

The glass is single domed and has a much smalled beveled edge than the SKX glass has, very nice! If you decide to change it to sapphire, I advice the flat without bevel or the double domed; both fit seamless to the bezel insert.

If you want to have sapphire installed, please add the desired sapphire to the order! So with sapphire install, be sure to add the sapphire as a separate product to your order ! The bezel insert is flat, so do not choose one of the stepped sapphires unless you have a sloped bezel insert that you are going to put in the watch.
